  • What time do I need to arrive for my first lesson?

    Please arrive 10 minutes before your first class so we can show you around our facility and help you get settled in.

  • What are your class prices?

    You can find all of our updated pricing by clicking here or clicking on 'pricing' tab in the website menu.

  • How do your payments work?

    Direct Debit (Monthly)

    Payments are processed on the 1st of each month. If the 1st falls on a weekend or public holiday, payment will be processed on the next available business day.


    Block Payments (10 Lessons)

    We offer blocks of 10 lessons scheduled according to our calendar. Please check our website for current block dates. If you join partway through a block, you will only be charged for the remaining lessons in that block.


    Casual Classes

    Casual classes must be booked and paid for upfront. Bookings can only be made up to one week in advance.

  • What are the age requirements for each class?

    Baby Splash: 2 to 4 months

    Water Babies: 4 to 18 months

    Water Tots: 18 months to 2.5 years

    Tadpoles: 2.5 years and over

    Goldfish onwards: 4 years and over

    Adult Classes: 15 years and over

  • How long are lessons?

    Baby Splash: 25 minutes

    Water Babies, Water Tots, Tadpoles, Goldfish, Starfish, Stingrays and Dolphins: 30 minutes

    Sharks: 45 minutes

    Whales, Junior Squad and Fitness Squad: 1 hour

    Beginner Adults: 30 minutes

    Intermediate Adults: 1 hour

  • What do babies and parents/carers need for class?

    For Baby Splash, Water Babies and Water Tots classes, children will need:


    Swimwear

    A reusable or disposable swim nappy

    A flotation backpack for Water Tots


    Parents or carers entering the water will need:


    Swimwear

    A T-shirt

  • What will Tadpoles need for class?

    Tadpoles will need:


    A flotation backpack

    A swim nappy if under 3 years old or not fully toilet trained

    Goggles

  • What do Goldfish through to Adult classes need?

    Students in Goldfish through to Adult classes will need:


    Swimwear

    Goggles

  • Can I watch the lesson?

    Parents and guardians are welcome to watch lessons. Grandparents and friends are also welcome. Please keep in mind that we are a smaller centre with limited seating around the pool. To help manage space, additional visitors may need to alternate visits.

  • Will my child have the same teacher each week?

    We pride ourselves on providing consistency for our students and do our best to keep the same teacher each week. If a teacher is absent, we aim to have a familiar teacher step in whenever possible. While we always try to maintain consistency, this may not be possible in every situation.

  • How do make-up tokens work?

    You will receive a make-up token when you notify us of an absence at least 60 minutes before your scheduled lesson through the app, customer portal or in person.


    Make-up tokens are valid for 70 days.


    Absences and make-up lessons cannot be managed via email or social media, as these platforms are not monitored frequently.

  • How do Sports Vouchers work?

    Download and complete a form from Sports Vouchers SA

    , then print and bring it to reception.


    Please allow a few weeks for processing. Once approved, a credit will be applied to your account for your next block payment or direct debit.

  • What age do children need goggles?

    Goggles are required from Tadpoles through to Adult classes. Our team can help you choose the right goggles at the centre.

  • What age do children need flotation backpacks?

    Flotation backpacks are required for Water Tots and Tadpoles classes.


    These can be purchased from us. If purchasing elsewhere, please ensure the backpack meets Australian safety standards.

  • How long should a child stay in a level?

    Every child develops at their own pace. If you would like to discuss your child’s progress, please speak with one of our reception team members.

  • Do I have to stay for my child's swimming lesson?

    Children under 16 years of age cannot be left at the pool without a parent or guardian present.


    A guardian must remain onsite in case of an emergency. Please also let staff know if you need to leave the immediate pool area.


    If a child is left unattended, they will not be able to participate in their lesson.

  • At what age does a parent no longer need to enter the water?

    Parents or carers are no longer required to enter the water once their child moves into Tadpoles classes, usually around 2.5 years of age.

  • What are your teacher-to-student ratios?

    Baby Splash: 1 teacher to 8 students with a parent

    Water Babies and Water Tots: 1 teacher to 8 students with a parent

    Tadpoles, Goldfish, Starfish and Adult Beginners: 1 teacher to 3 students

    Stingrays: 1 teacher to 4 students

    Dolphins and Adult Intermediate: 1 teacher to 5 students

    Sharks and Fitness Squad: 1 teacher to 7 students

    Whales and Junior Squad: 1 teacher to 10 students

  • What qualifications do your teachers have?

    All of our teachers hold current CPR and First Aid qualifications, a valid Working With Children Check, and a Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certificate.


    Our team also completes a comprehensive internal training program conducted at the pool to ensure all instructors deliver lessons safely, consistently and to the high standard we expect at PGSS.

  • Is the pool heated and what temperature is it?

    Yes. Our pool is heated all year round and maintained at 32°C.
